Process requirements and characteristics of marine aluminum plate

Marine aluminum plate is one of the emerging fields of aluminum alloy products, and it is also the key direction for the transformation and upgrading of many domestic aluminum processing enterprises. Because marine aluminum sheet is used in marine ships and other fields, it has stricter process requirements and performance standards than other ordinary aluminum alloy products.

(1) Characteristics of 5086 marine aluminum plate

The 5086 marine anti-rust aluminum plate belongs to the 5 series Al-Mg alloy, and the magnesium content generally does not exceed 7%. As the magnesium content increases, the strength of the alloy will increase, while the plasticity will decrease. Use in hardened or semi-cold hardened state.

(2) Classification of 5086 marine aluminum plate

Due to the effect of magnesium, the 5086 anti-rust aluminum plate can be divided into three categories according to the magnesium content: low magnesium content, medium magnesium content and high magnesium content.

1. The aluminum alloy with low magnesium content is non-heat-treatable strengthened, low strength aluminum alloy, good weldability, and superior performance in marine environment.

2. The anti-rust aluminum plate with medium magnesium content is generally used for pipes and containers with high plasticity and medium corrosion resistance in the manufacturing process.

3. Anti-rust aluminum plate with high magnesium content is generally used for ordinary welded pipes, liquid containers and other parts.

5086 anti-rust aluminum plate is an aluminum alloy product with low magnesium content and can resist marine environment and climate. The density of the rust-proof aluminum plate is higher than that of other aluminum plates, and it has very good corrosion resistance.
